 Scope of environmental education

                                                                 As the life of all organisms is linked directly or indirectly to the environment the environmental education become important to be utilised in solving various problems faced today by man and other organisms on this plant. Various socio economic , political and other similar policies of the world are now based on ecological aspect.

1) Environmental pollution and it's control 

                                                                               The environment pollution has become an international problem today. Environmental engineering is emerging as a new career opportunities for controlling environmental pollution.

Since the pollution control laws have become more stringent, industries need experts to control pollution and disposal of wastes.

2) Conservation of natural resources

                                                                    man, with the indiscriminate use of biotic and abiotic resources , has created ecological crisis. So, it is necessary to regulate the utilization of these natural resources for their continuous availability future by studying environmental.

There is a need for trained manpower at every level to deal with environmental issues like safe and clean drinking water , hygienic living conditions, clean and fresh air, fertile land, healthy food and sustainable development.

3) Population explosion and it's control

                                                                          Day by day increasing population has made it mandatory for everyone to acquaint himself with atleast the overall environmental processes and conditions which are essential for the survival of individual organism.

4) Green technologies :

                                          Environmental experts are now in great demand in industries for adopting green technologies to reduce pollution and to cut down the costs of effluent treatment.

5) Ecological duty :

                                    Ecological studies help us to study the ecological processes. For maintaining ecological processes like food chain, food web, nutrient cycling etc, it is necessary to study about environmental.

6) Research & development ( R&D ) in environmental :

                              Skilled environmental scientist have an important role to play in examining various environmental problems in a scientific manner and to carry out research and development activities for developing cleaner technologies and promoting sustainable development.

7) Environmental consultancy :

                                                            Many non governmental organisations ( NGOs ), industries and government bodies are engaging environmental consultant for systematically studying and tackling environmental related problems.

Spread Foundation or open Foundation The Foundation which is constructed over a large area to form a wide base over which the whole structure rests is called spread or open Foundation. These Foundations are made with increasing the base by making off sets. It is a type of shallow Foundation. this type of Foundation is constructed in open excavation by increasing the area at the base of structure by means of offsets or batter. This is most common type of Foundation and is practicable for a depth of about 5 m and is generally convenient above the water table. This Foundation is provided for bridges of moderate height built on sufficiently firm dry ground.
